Pat and her husband Joe owned and operated a successful company for over 35 years before Pat made her decision to focus on public service. Pat has served in numerous public offices, including eight years on the Parish Council, on the Louisiana State Museum Board where she served as Vice Chairman of the Finance Committee, the St. Tammany Parish Environmental Services Commission, the Board of the St. Tammany Children's Advocacy Center, the Commission on Families, and two years as Chairman of the Board of Directors of St. Tammany West Habitat for Humanity. In 2006, President Bush appointed Pat as Head of Delegation to the UN Commission on the Status of Women. This appointment holds the rank of United States Ambassador and she was confirmed for that position by the U. S. Senate.

Dian Lusher is an entrepreneur, social activist and transformational leader. She is the founder of DYNEL, Inc-communications training and served as one of President Brister's 8 transition team leaders. Her new business- Women Coach Women.com offers a variety of educational, informative and empowering videos for women. Dian is Past Chair of the STW Chamber and the Children's Advocacy Center. She has served on many St Tammany profit and non profit boards and currently is President Brister's appointee on the St Tammany Tourism Commission. Dian is a certified facilitator for STOPS Prevention of Suicide, Darkness to Light Child Abuse and 21st Century Career Transition programs. She and her husband Scott live in Folsom, have 3 adult children and 2 grandchildren.
