Mission Statement
Partner with the community to create a garden at each public elementary school in St. Tammany parish. Our Vision is to connect children to their food, therefore to their health and to their community. Our Goal is to establish the groundwork for each of the elementary schools to use the vegetable garden as an outdoor classroom to teach Science, Math, Language Arts, Social Studies, Art, Geography and Sustainability. This is a Cooperative Project between St. Tammany Parish Schools, Master Gardeners (LSU Ag Center), Boy Scouts, Parent Teacher Associations, and Jinx Vidrine’s Legacy Garden Fund.
WIP's involvement includes making a cash donation of $250.
